We were made from the same

Unholy fracture in the divine skeleton

You with God’s peroxide and I my own

We were born with our mouths filled with

The steely after taste of fame-candy

The putrid alcohol of which turned

Our bodies into caricatures

Of their own selves

Feeding seedy fantasies

We were both put together

From 28 and a half incomplete pixels

That never did come out quite right

On those grainy television screens

You and I,

We were the same

Conjured by

Those priests

Performing sacrificial rites

At the altar of tabloid fodder
